Uganda is such a beautiful country and unfortunately, all there is about Uganda out there is the times during Idi Amin and no one talks about the beauty that I have just seen. I will be building the Akon city here using local resources.
“We also have the Aikon crypto currency that will be launched in Kenya in the next 90 days, we hope to launch it in Uganda too. The beauty with it is that you will be able to use it globally.”
“I have realized that as Africans, We don’t work together, We don’t trust each other and We are always competing and never in a position to unite and yet if we joined forces, we could be way better than we are.”
“Look at the Jewish community, they are the least populated, but control the world, that is because they have come together. The Middle East was not as powerful as they are today 30-40 years back, but it is a different story after they created the United Emirates, so when you come together, you are a lot stronger and so, if Africa can come together, we will be unstoppable.”
“So the city is coming here…I have travelled in most parts of Africa, but not seen the potential that I have seen in Uganda,” Akon concluded.
US-Senegalese artist Akon was in Uganda for a four day visit alongside his wife, Rozina Negusei. The couple held Juma prayers at Old Kampala mosque, visited the President at his upcountry home in Rwakitura.
They also went for game drives at the Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi impenetrable National Park and while there, the experience was thrilling as it was the first time the singer was coming that close to wild cats in the forest.
