The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Justice in Uganda, Justice Simon Byabakama accused the National Unity Platform (NUP) leader, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine of hoodwinking Ugandans that he won the January presidential elections.
Byabakama has also faulted Robert Kyagulanyi for the decision he made to withdraw the presidential petition claiming it was an opportunity for him to address his grievances and that of his supporters. Justice Simon Byabakama said this during a meeting with leaders of political parties under their umbrella organisation the National Consultative forum for political parties and Organisations.
It is time for Bobi Wine to say is over for the 2021 elections and look for better ways of addressing his defeat? Uganda needs peace and prosperity and this can’t be achieved when political wrangles continue to exist. There were many allegations that were made against Museveni, for instance, kidnapping and brutal murder of opposition supporters but Museveni has never admitted that this has been happening in his government.
