CECAFA U17: Magogo’s Son Makes Cubs Final Squad To Rwanda

Uganda Cubs has travelled to Rwanda, FUFA has confirmed.

FUFA President Eng .Moses Magogo’s son, Shafiq Magogo, has been named in Uganda Cubs final squad for the upcoming CECAFA U17 Championship.

Shafiq Magogo, is one of the six forwards on the team entrusted to find the back of the net at the CECAFA U17 Championship.

Shafiq Magogo  is a student at Kibuli SS and was part of the Uganda Under-15 team that played in CECAFA U15 in Eritrea.

Hamza Lutalo is the head coach of the Uganda Cubs and is deputized by  Brian Ssenyondo.

The CECAFA Under 17 Championship is slated for December 13 to 28 in Rwanda.

The two best teams will qualify to represent the zone in the Africa Cup of Nations U17 tournament which will be held next year in Morocco.

The zonal Qualifiers groups are:

Group A: Uganda,  Kenya,  South Sudan and Ethiopia.

Group B:  Rwanda(Host), Tanzania, Sudan and Djibouti.

Goalkeepers: Mwebe Henry (Express Fc Junior Team), Magada Abdu (Busoga United Junior Team), Oyirwoth Humphrey (Express FC Junior Team)

Defenders: Mulema Vincent (Kyetume Fc Junior Team), Ibrahim Juma (KCCA Soccer Accademy), Luyima Enock (Volf Soccer Accademy), Mukisa Simon (KCCA Soccer Accademy), Gava Peter (Express FC Junior Team), Madoi Ronald (Wakiso Giants Junior Team)

Midfielders: Irinimbabazi Ivan (Bright Stars FC, Junior Team), Kaliisa Shugai (Express FC Junior Team), Mutyaba Travis (Vipers SC Junior Team), Mwanje Elvis Eddy (KCCA Soccer Accademy), Mudiba Samir (Express Fc Junior Team)
