Pogba was signed from juventus in 2016 on a five years deal. United extended his contract with a one-year extension back in October.
it is said that pogba is asking for salary increase upto £500,000 per week in order to extend his stay at the united.
If United decide not to make Pogba the highest paid player at the club, they could be forced to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for nothing in a year’s time.
But, Fernandes is desperately hoping that pogba stays at united, The Portuguese playmaker would be prepared to sign a new deal of his own if Pogba’s contract is renewed.
Fernandes sees the pogba as a big part of the side and believes that his continued involvement will be crucial in helping United to return to the top of the Premier League table in the near future.
Fernandes is under contract until 2025 but has been asked to agree fresh terms after establishing himself as United’s best player since joining the club in january
The club reportedly offered him a new deal worth £250,000 per week in March, but he was said to be keen on waiting until the summer months in order to judge his side’s transfer ambitions.
