Jesualdo Ferreira has been appointed as Boavista manager, marking his second managerial stint at the club.
Egyptian football fans will remember Ferreira for his time with Egyptian giants Zamalek where he won the domestic double of the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup in his only season in charge.
After leaving Cairo he went on two additional managerial stints. The first one was in Qatar with Al Sadd, where he won the Qatari Stars League, the Qatari Cup, Qatar Emir Cup and the Qatar Super Cup.

In January 2020, he was announced as Santos FC head coach in the Brazilian Serie A . And despite a solid record of six wins and four draws in 14 games, his time was cut short and left the club seven month later.
Ferreira will now take on the managerial role at a struggling Boavista side, who currently sit 15th on the Portuguese Primeira Liga table, and is expected to remain until June 2022.
The 74-year-old has his fair share of experience in his home country as he managed their top three teams Benfica, Sporting CP and Porto.
His most successful spell was with the latter, managing to lift three consecutive Primeira Liga titles as well as two Taça de Portugal.
He was also handed the Boavista coaching job during the summer of 2006 but stayed for barely one month
