Kenyan Uhuru Kenyatta arrives in Uganda for Museveni

President Uhuru Kenyatta has this morning, 12th May 2021 arrived in Uganda to attend the official Swearing-In Ceremony of President Elect Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

President Kenyatta, who currently serves in the position of East African Community (EAC) Chairperson has been accompanied to Uganda by a number of leaders from the government.

The Commander in Chief of the Armed forces has been accompanied by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretaries Raychelle Omamo, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, and Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development James Macharia.

President Yoweri Museveni emerged the winner of the Presidential election with a landslide against his rival Boby Wine in the ballot.

Thousands of guests have arrived at Kololo Independence Grounds for President Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony today.

Other heads of State who have arrived in Tanzania ahead of President Elect Museveni’s inauguration are Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Ghana’s President Nana Akufo Addo among others.
