The statement on the FUFA website reads,

“Aucho refused to board the official means of transport organised to pick him from Entebbe International Airport to the team camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel-Kisasi and has not even reported to camp since his arrival in the country.”

“The player’s club Misr El Makkasa and Egypt Football Association A have duly been informed about the decision and a return air ticket has been issued to him for his travel back to Egypt.”

According to FUFA, Aucho refused to board the official means of transport organised to pick him from Entebbe International Airport to the team camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel-Kisasi.

FUFA says that Aucho had not even reported to camp since his arrival in the country, but the soft spoken player told theGrapevine that it was only a few hours since he landed into the country and needed some necessary private time before he reported to the camp.

Aucho has faulted the FUFA for suspending him just less than five hours after landing into the country yet other players have spent 12, and even over 24 hours in the Uganda without reporting to the camp.

Aucho explains why and how;

Aucho says he landed at Entebbe Airport towards 3pm, and less than 4 hours later, he got an e-mail notification of his suspension.

“I reached at a half past 2, then I told the person they had sent to pick me that I was not feeling well and immediately needed to see a doctor to ascertain why my body was not functioning well,” Aucho narrated.

“I knew I had to go to camp, I mean, that’s why I traveled here in the first place, but I also needed to atleast briefly see my family. I have to see my kids to bless me whenever I’m home because I take so much time away from them,” he added.

There are also other serious allegations that Aucho’s woes on the National team stem from him politically disagreeing with the FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo. Reports indicate that Magogo, who is a staunch cadre of President Yoweri Museveni’s ruling NRM government is so pissed with Aucho for openly supporting a one opposition candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine in the just concluded general elections.

On the matter, Aucho unapologeticcally stated that he has every right to support whoever he wants.

“Even if I openly supported Bobi Wine for presidency, it’s my constitutional right. Like I can support any football club of my choice. It’s just a matter of choice. I still didn’t do anything wrong” Aucho insisted.
