Former National Unity, Reconciliation and Development party Moses Nkonge Kibalama has send strong message to the current party president Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert on the way him and the team runs the party.
Kibalama has said that Kyagulanyi takes NUP as his own property with a group of colleagues yet he never sold the party to him since the party is not for sale.
“I have no relationship with NUP because when those people came into our political party we made a memorandum of understanding stating the roles each party would play but those people never fulfilled the memorandum of understanding and are illegally running the party,” Kibalama said.
Kibalama said that in the memorandum of understanding with Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert they agreed that he should use his fame in the political ground and attract more people but not to own the party.
It’s now 7 months since Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert was officially unveiled as the party president on 24th July 2020.
Kibalama said that the reason to why some NURP members decided to go to the court again is because they want also to be part of the party system since Kyagulanyi and his team only do the party missions in secret without notifying some of the co-founder of the party.
National Unity platform was established in 2004 by the main man Moses Nkonge Kibalama and other colleagues in names of National Unity Reconciliation and Development party but after the intervention of Kyagulanyi they changed the party names to NUP.
NUP is currently the leading political party with more member of parliament on the opposition side.
