There was a moment of chaos at the declaration of the elected speaker of the 11th parliament, Jacob Oulanyah an event held at Kololo ceremonial grounds as some legislators led by Kalungu’s Joseph Ssewungu and Mityana’s Francis Zaake alleged that there were some commandos of special forces command who had swung into parliamentary chambers despite being non-members of the legislature.
By 6:00pm, uniformed and plain clothed security personnel were seen patrolling different streets where several youths had reportedly planned to launch their protests.
