The 2020 Masaza Cup final has been postponed to a later date, the first vice chairperson chairman of the tournament’s organising committee Samuel Mpiima confirmed.
Mpiima announced on Thursday that the tournament final which was scheduled to be held on Saturday, January 23 at the FUFA Technical Center will not go ahead as planned.
The final of the tournament had been scheduled to be held on Saturday January 23, 2021 at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
According to Mpiima, the game is postponed for better arrangements which will see it having fans in attendance.
Mpiima adds,“But also, the dates for the final will be altered from the initial scheduled dates because we want to make sure that we have the best preparations,”
“We have got an opportunity to put in better arrangements that will bring in fans, at least a sizable number to support the game in a better field that we will announce.”
“All we are waiting for is the Buganda kingdom to give us the green light for the preparations,”Mpima added.
Buddu and Gomba will face off in the final of the tournament.
