The saying goes “An apple doesn’t fall far away from the tree”. So is the case with East Africa’s first female head of state and gorvenment Samia Suluhu’s case with one of her daughters.
President Samia Suluhu who is the sixth president of the republic of Tanzania has been largely a Politician in her entire life.
It seems now that the political bug has also bitten one of her daughters who probably wants to follow in her footsteps.
Born on February 9 1982 honourable Wanu Hafidh Amir is a die-hard Supporter and member of CCM.
The second born daughter to madam president is a special seat member in Zanzibar house of representative.
According to infirmation available at the Zanzibar house of Representive, She went to m/ kwerekwe B prinsry school between 1990- 1996.
She later on went to kawanda secondary schools in Uganda between 1997-2000 for her o- level.
She then did her A-level from the same school between 2001-2002 after which she enrolled for a certificate course in legal assistance at info service institute from 2005 to 2006.
Wanu then went on to do a diploma course in international relations from the centre for foreign relations between 2007-2008.
The politician has also undertaken short trainings such as a one year training on growth for develoment from the United kingdom, training on Leadership develoment offered by the house of Representive and legal studies from Zanzibar law resource center.
Worked as administrative officer in the ministry of tourism and investments in the year 2010.
She is has served as the chairperson of CCM youth south league between 2008-2012 and now she is the national excutive committee member of the party.
Cases of children of presidents succeefully following the footsteps of their parents aren’t new. Locally in kenya, the son of Kenya’s founding father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta is soon completing his second term.
President Uhuru Kenyatta joined politics long after the death of his father which happened in 1978.
George W Bush ruled America for two terms before handing over the mantle to Obama. The senior Bush was also a president.
