During the burial of the late President John Pombe Magufuli at his Mlimani village home in Chato district of Geita province, there was one peculiar thing about the tombstone that was used to cover his grave which caught the attention of most of us that were watching the ceremony live on Facebook.
At the beginning of the burial ceremony, the tombstone was seen inside a tent in which some mourners were seated and one would’ve thought that it was covering another grave.
But it became clear that the tombstone was for the late President’s grave when a portrait of him was sighted on it as seen in the photo below.
Then after the some burial rituals like praying for the deceased and pouring of soil on the casket that had been lowered into the grave having been performed, the military covered the grave and within a few minutes, it looked like tombstone had been installed days ago.
Upon looking closer, we noticed something like a “rail” having been fixed on both sides of the grave. Then since the scene where the grave was being covered was broadcasted to show the world how it was being done, we are not sure if the tombstone was carried or pushed on the “rail”.
