Onduparaka FC Unveils Their New Shirt Sponsor

Star Times Uganda Premier League (UPL) side Onduparaka FC have unveiled betting company AbaBet as their lead sponsor.

The deal comes two days after the club renewed their partnership with communication company MTN Uganda and also unveiled the new kits for the 2020/21 season.

The partnership amounts to Six Hundred Twenty Five Million Shillings (625,000,000) running for three years. This development has been confirmed today  at Mestil Hotel in Kampala

The partnership will see AbaBet logo being emblazoned on the front of the Caterpillars’s jersey.

In this deal, AbaBet has  also takenover the team’s stadium naming rights .Therefore The Caterpillars Stadium in Arua has been baptized anew name called AbaBet Green Light Stadium.

Speaking during the launch of the partnership, Onduparaka FC Marketing and Communications Officer Mercy Manduru stressed the need to have such a big partner on board, especially during the pandemic period.

“This is a very important day for us as a club,” Manduru told media, adding; “Today we take a step forward in the development of the football club as we re-emphasize the values and traditions of this football club.”

“This partnership is not like the usual partnerships we have had before, and we are proud of all our partners current and past.”

“Just like Aba Bet, we have moved from the bottom to where we are currently, and we do not take anything for granted.”

“It has been two years since we last had a sponsor for the club, and we are very grateful to Aba Bet for coming on board at such a time and we are very pleased to welcome them on board,” she added.

Aba Bet head of Marketing Prince Kangume says that “,We want to lift Onduparaka, they have a great fan base, they have played a big role in changing the face of Ugandan football.”

The Caterpillars  are currently seventh on the log with eight points after five games.

Onduparaka  will host Busoga United in their Upcoming  league fixture on Friday, 12th February.
