One civilisation is not complete without its art, Bobi Wine

Yesterday Opposition President and head of National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu commonly known as Bobi Wine had a meeting with his fellow artists thats openly supported him and also refused to camp in Gulu.

This happened after other singers led by Jose Chameleon went to Gulu and met President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni brother Gen Salim Saleh which Bobi Wine termed as Artists becoming beggars.

Bobi Wine through his Facebook page has overwhelmed appreciate the artists That decided to stand with the oppressed not the oppressors.

See how wonderful it is for brothers and sisters to dwell together in unity…Psalms 133:1. It was an amazing breakfast chat with our arts family, where we shared individual observations on the current challenges of the arts in Uganda. Together, we lay down our thoughts on what we believe the future of the creatives should look like. The alternative minister of Arts and Culture Hon. Kiyaga was present to take note of our deliberations and we believe that he will channel these brilliant ideas across the entertainment fraternity for a stronger and more unifying voice.

Like Marcus Garvey said “One civilisation is not complete without its art, the highest form of expression of human intelligence”.
Thank you bredren for taking time to come by and for sharing your ideas with everybody who attended. We are stronger together!
