Police seize 2 bodies at Entebbe International airport

This early morning police have seized 2 bodies of Ugandans from relatives at Entebbe international airport. One of the deceased is of names Frank Lwansa who passed on in Dubai were he was working while the other is of Salma Babirye who passed on in Saudi Arabia.

The two bodies come in separately by two unrelated parties.

According to Kampala metropolitan police spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire said the bodies were seized to enable the government of Uganda to carry out postmortem to establish the cause of their death.

However the number of Ugandans who die in the middle east is rampart and uncertain. In 2021 Uganda Human rights commission reported at least 28 Ugandan migrant workers died in Middle East.

According to the activists they do accuse the government of Saudi Arabia for not doing enough to protect Ugandans working in their country much as the government of Uganda has tightened regulations of externalizations of labour to curb human trafficking in which Ugandans are killed.
