Poorest Countries in the world revealed, Uganda among them

A country’s wealth is measured from its Gross domestic product (GDP). The rich countries like Norway, Switzerland, USA and Luxembourg hold the highest wealth concentration in the world and most of them are located in Europe, East Asia and North America . The Poorest Countries in the world mostly lie in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean Islands. They mostly depend on mining and agriculture for their income compared to the rich and wealthy countries which mostly earn their income from manufacturing, service and technology industries.

The Poorest country in the world is Burundi with a GDP of just above 260 billion US dollars. Of the 25 Poorest Countries in the world, 22 of them are in Africa. They all fall in the category of Low income countries according to IMF and world Bank.
