See how Kenya compares against Tanzania and Uganda on fuel Prices

Fuel prices have sharply risen abruptly. The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority EPRA sited increase in the global rise from $55.55 a barrel to $61.61 which is a +$6.11 rise.

Tanzania has the lowest prices for Diesel and Petroleum. Currently,super petrol is going at ksh 93.67 in Tanzania against Kenya’s ish 122.81 and Uganda’s ksh 116.22.Prices in Tanzania prices are lower because consumers enjoy economies of scale through the port of Dar es Salaam of which should be the case

Justifying the surge in petroleum product prices goverment spokesperson Cyrus Oguna pointed out that the government needs taxes to pay public servants and Improve community welfare through provision of essential services. This is ironical because citizens have no faith in government due to lack of accountability and openness in execution of development programs.
