Shafic Batambuze Unveiled By Zambian Side

Uganda’s left back  Shafic  “Bachu” Batambuze has joined  Zambian side Kabwe Warriors FC.The club has gone ahead to unveil the overlapping defender to the fans and the Media Fratternity.

The Uganda international defender  has joined Kabwe Warriors FC  as a free agent after  ending his deal at Kenyan Side Gormahia.

Batambuze who was part of Uganda Cranes team at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and defender has signed  a two-year deal at Kabwe Warriors.

Before Crossing to Zambia, Batambuze  has been  Training with Uganda premier league side  Busoga United as embarked on his road to recovery having suffered a career-threatening injury in 2019.

Warriors, competes in the Zambian top flight, are currently 10th on the 18-team log with 15 points.

They have won the Zambian Premier League on five occasions, but haven’t tasted triumph since winning it in 1987.

He joins a list of Ugandan players in Zambia that include Shafic Bakaki (NkanaRed Devils), Paul Musamali (Buildcon) and Yasin Mugabi (Red Arrows)

Batambuze who was part of Uganda Cranes team at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations joins the side on a two-year deal.

Batambuze has also previously played at  Simba(Tanzania), Muhoroni Youth(Kenya), SC Villa(Uganda) , Western Stima(Kenya), Sofapaka ,Tusker(Both Clubs in Kenya),Singida United(Tanzania) and lastly Kenyan’s giants Gormahia.
