Uganda To Kick Off U-20 AFCON Against Mozambique

Uganda’s U-20 national team will   start  their AFCON U-20 tournament against fellow debutants Mozambique on 14th Febuary 2021.

The Hippos and Mozambique were drawn in Group A alongside five time champions Cameroon and hosts Mauritania.

Uganda’s next two group games will be against Mauritania on 17th and Cameroon on 20th February.

The top team will automatically qualify for the semi finals. One other best second placed team from the three groups will also win a place in the semi finals.

The Morley Byekwaso coached team qualified as the winners of the CECAFA region after obliterating neighbors Tanzania 4-1 in the final.

The team is currently in a residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi as preparations for the final tournament intensify.

The U-20 AFCON tournament in Mauritania will kick off on 14th February and climax on 6th March.
