URA FC Earns First Win Of The Season Against SC Villa.

URA SC were 2-1 victors coming from a goal down to edge SC Villa at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje, earning their first win of the season.

However, SC Villa’s Coach Edward Kaziba blames the very tight scheduling of matches for the Jogoo’s loss to the Tax Collectors.

“Yes, we lost and still we didn’t have a good game generally and it’s resulting from fatigue,” Kaziba said after the game before adding;

“We really never had enough time for recovery, because surely there was little time between when we last played and today’s game.”

“Whereas our opponents played on Tuesday and at least for their case had some time to recover, you could see from the field of play fatigue cost us,” he added.

Villa took the lead in the 16th minute of the game through youngster Derrick Ndahiro who converted from a penalty spot.

Before Benjamin Nyakojo rose highest to nod in Saidi Kyeyune’s freekick in the 31st minute to pull the hosts level by halftime.

Sam Ssimbwa’s charges returned for the second stanza hungrier, pressing hard for another goal but the visitors were resilient until stoppage time when they were finally broken.

Captain Saidi  Kyeyune who assisted Nyakojo’s equalizer, this time around turned scorer heading in Brian Majwega’s cross from the left in the 92nd minute of the game as URA FC edged SC Villa at Arena of Visions in Bombo, Luwero.

URA  SC substitute Mikidad Ssenyonga had a penalty appeal waived by Referee William Oloya.

That was URA’s second consecutive win over Villa after also defeating them 2-0 at the same venue in the second round of the 2019/2020 season.

Villa have now drawn, won and lost in their three league games played so far and lie fifth on the Uganda Premier League table with four points.

Whereas URA who have drawn twice and won once have climbed above Villa and now seat fourth on five points on the 16-team table standing.
