Vipers SC Resumes Training At Kitende

Vipers Sc   resumed training  yesterday  evening at St Mary’s Stadium as they  prepare for  their first Uganda Premier League game against Wakiso Giants FC on Saturday 12th December.

This is a wakiso derby  because the two club’s Stadiums are found in this district(wakiso).

Vipers were supposed to play league debutants  MYDA FC but the match was postponed because  the “Venoms” had to pay visit to Khartoum  based side  Al Hilal  Ormduman in Sudan for the second leg  at the CAF Champions League.

Vipers sc lost the double header  both home and away on an aggregate of  2-0 at the hands of the sudanase club. That means the Venoms were ejected from this term’s CAF Chamions League. Therefore they will focus on defending the Uganda premier league title they won last season.

The kitende based side coached by Fred Kajoba Kisitu will vist Douglas Bamweyana’s Purple Sharks At kabaka Kyabagu Stadium in Wakiso.

However,Viper’s  key players including Captain  Halid Lwaliwa ,Abraham Ndugwa,Milton Kariisa, Livingstone Mulondo ,Geoffrey Wasswa and Abdul  Karim Watambala missed the trip to sudan  after testing positive for Covid 19.

Aziz Kayondo, Najib Iga, Bobos Byaruhanga and Joseph Lujang Dhata are available for selection after joining the team in Khartoum.

Ceasar Manzoki is also available to partner and support Mzee Daniel Sserunkuma in the hunt for goals.

Muhammed Shaban Jogason is close to returning and is expected to make his debut for the Venoms in the league this weekend.
