Uganda Premier League defending Champions, Vipers SC return to action to play their second game in hand after Thrashing league debutants MYDA FC 7-0 in a game that was played last Saturday on 6th February at St. Marys Stadium in Kitende.
SC Vipers saw their Two games postponed because they had to take on Al Hilal Omdurman of Sundan in a double header at the CAF Champions League qualifiers in which the venoms were eliminated by the Sudanese giants.
The league was paused because the CHAN Cranes of local based players had qualified to the CHAN tournament .
This will be express’s first league game this year when they host Vipers SC at Betway Muteesa 11 stadium in Wankuluku.
Team News:
Express FC which is coached by Wasswa Bossa has no fresh injuries in their current squad but they will have to wait and see whether their defender Arthur Kigundu will pass the late fitness test.
The Reds are boosted by the services of their new signing Muzamir Mutyaba who joined Wasswa Bossa’s side in this year’s January transfer window on a free transfer. The former KCCA midfielder will help them to get a good result against the Venons because of his vast experience in the Uganda Premier league.
On the other hand, Fred Kajoba’s Vipers SC will miss the services of a couple of players and these include Bobosi Byaruhanga, Aziz Kayondo, Richard Basangwa ,Najib Yiga and Ivan Asaba who made cut for the final Squad of the Uganda Hippos which will represent the Pear of Africa at the forthcoming U20 AFCON which will be played next month in Mauritania.
The Kitende side will also miss the services of their winger Militon Karisa who was injured at the CHAN tournament.
Vipers will be boosted by their new signing Yunus Sentamu who joined the Venons last month. The striker scored a brace in their previous victory over new league babies MYDA FC last Weekend.

Express FC has registered one victory against Vipers in their last 7 meetings (W1,D2,L4).
Express’s last victory over the Venoms came in September 2016 under the services of current coach Wasswa Bossa. The match was played at Nakivubo Stadium and the Reds goal was scored by Derrick Tekwo.
Both Express FC and Vipers are unbeaten in all their four games they have played in the league this season.
