Why Judges in Bobi Wine Petition against Museveni Won’t risk their careers for Ugandans

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni broken the silence over plans to challenge his presidential victory by the National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, Museveni wants the supreme court to dismiss the petitions file by NUP with immediate effect and NUP to be held responsible of any costs that should be involved.

Uganda`s supreme court judges have been cornered in their current early stages of pre-listening the petition to challenge the Presidential victory that was awarded to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the January 14, 2021 general elections.

While interviewing a section of political analysist on the same, Jackie Kemigisa asserted that there was no way the Supreme judges will rule against President Museveni on the petition brought to the table by NUP President Bobi Wine and allies.

According to Kemigisa, Judges will be risking their careers should they agree with the allegations of Bobi Wine and Ugandans that in deed, there was rigging of elections and therefore, there is need to have a re-election in Uganda.

She added that there is no way, a rational man will bite the hand that feeds him, asserting that all the judges were appointed by President Museveni, and therefore, the likeliness of ruling against Museveni are below average.

NTV Uganda confirmed the sentiments of Kemigisa as being obedient to the master, which is a clear major hit back to Bobi Wine who strongly believe that his votes were stolen by Museveni who wants to protect his power and control the state`s resources.

“It`s wishful thinking that a panel of judges appointed by President Museveni would go against Museveni, that doesn’t make any sense. ‘You don’t bite the hand that feeds you,” Kemigisa spoke on NTV Uganda.

On his end, one Eriasa Mukiibi pointed out that all the previous Presidential aspirants lost their trust in the Electoral Commission, adding that they go into the elections knowing that he results will not be free and fair.
