Museveni finally captured power after he successfully led a rebellion group to overturn Milton Obote’s Government. Museveni took over the office using force and there is no way he his going to just hand over peacefully.

He has been directly involved in different wars such as the civil war in Rwanda, Congo wars, and other conflicts around the great lake region especially with the government of Kenya over Migingo ownership.

The Ugandan constitution was amended under the leadership of Museveni to suit him. In 2005 he removed presidential term limits and in 2017 he banned age limits. That means he can rule Uganda until the time he will die.
