You’ll Never Walk Alone – Alberto Moreno

Former Liverpool Fc left-back Alberto Moreno poured a joyous message to the Reds fans after holding off Manchester United in the Europa League final yesterday.

The 28-year-old Spaniard came into 88′ minute of second half in a pressure-filled match in Gdansk, Poland and layed maximum impact in Villarreal defense against Manchester United aggressive players.

Moreno went on to double his effectiveness on the night by scoring from the penalty spot in the thriller shootout that followed the 1-1 draw in normal time and extra.

Gerard Moreno’s first half goal was cancelled by Edison Cavani’s from a reckless defending by Villarreal in second half seeing 22 penalties taken in a shootout that stood 11-10 in favor of Villarreal who emerged 2020/21 Europa Champions, after Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea’ penalty got saved by Villarreal’s goalkeeper Gerònimo Rulli.

Moments were high in Poland and in Spain across Villarreal fans which saw Manchester United rivals picked by the mood.

Among the joyous celebrations that sparked after saw Alberto Moreno heading to his Instagram story to celebrate extra more upon the victory.

On the video sections of the story, one showed him shouting excitedly “You’ll Never Walk Alone” under the camera by his phone, the message well loudly received by the Reds supporters across the world.

Liverpool fans quickly reacted upon congratulating their former player and one fan tweeted. “Congratulations to Our Liverpool connection Alberto Moreno and Villarreal, deserved winner very happy for defeating the Manc.”

Another fan commented, “Congratulations Moreno, thank you for remembering LFC. YNWA”

Alberto Moreno Pèrez made 141 appearances at Anfield from Sevilla in 2014 and won Champions League Trophy with Club and other Europa and EFL runners-up medals before leaving the Premier League side in 2019.
