More than 10 leaders of various nations are expected to land in Dodoma for the national farewell of the late President John Magufuli.
Already their host, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has arrived in the capital city, ready for the event that will be held at Jamhuri Stadium on Monday.
Speaking to reporters in Dar, Government Chief Spokesperson Dr Hassan Abbasi named heads of state who have confirmed to attend the farewell of late Magufuli as Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenya), Lazarus Chakwera (Malawi), , Azali Assoumani (Comoros), Felipe Nyusi (Mozambique) and Emmerson Mnangagwa (Zimbabwe).
More presidents who will attend the event, according to Dr Abassi, are Edgar Lungu of Zambia, Hage Geingob (Namibia), Mokgweetsi Masisi (Botswana).
He named other heads of states as Cyril Ramaphosa (South Africa) and Felix Tshisekedi from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Dr Abassi said ambassadors and high commissioners representing their countries in Tanzania will attend the event.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of the republic of Uganda Uganda and senior member of East Africa Community has not yet confirmed with he will honor the burial of Late John Pombe Magufuli.
